Customers say
Customers find the reptile heat lamp to be of good quality and appreciate its adjustable brightness, with one mentioning it’s perfect for small terrariums. The heat generation receives mixed feedback – while it gets quite warm, one customer notes it’s not enough for large tanks. The functionality and build quality show mixed results, with some reporting it works well and is sturdy, while others mention it stops working and arrives broken. The lifespan is concerning, with multiple customers reporting bulbs burning out within 2 days, and opinions on value for money are divided between those who find it worth the price and those who consider it overpriced.

Super happy with this compact and flexbile light!
My turtle loves this nice little turtle lamp. You can see in the picture how happy she is eating dinner under a nice warm bath of light. This light kit is surprisingly sturdy for such an inexpensive lamp. It comes with two wide-spectrum bulbs, which is super handy for when one bulb goes out. Always keep a spare on hand for when one bulb goes out, even with AZ speeds, you don’t want to keep her waiting. The clip-on mount works just great in my situation and is very strong and grips very well! The flexible arm is just long enough and PLENTY stiff – no chance of it wearing out or moving on its own like some of those cheaper lights too.The cord and power on/off module seem to be very well made, very sturdy and so far, works perfectly as expected. The module turns the light on / off AND allows you to dim the light in 5 different settings in case the full light is too strong for your little friend.BTW, MY little friend – the “box turtle” in the photo – was malnourished by its original owner and can’t bury herself properly. So in the wild she would quickly become egg bound and die. 25 years later you can say I have learned a thing or two about my Jane, “the Toughest of Terrapins”, and the type of lights she likes and needs when she has to be indoors during the cold winter months. I would let her go – if I could. She will likely outlive me by 50 years too – if I find the right person to take over some day.

Go for it!
This will be my go to bulbs to buy. They are good quality, and they work excellently. Definitely a worthwhile buy, but my only complaint is that the bulb seems to die if the lamp is smacked in anyway, so be careful!

Not without it’s issues
The timer works. The light works. It came with 2 bulbs (50 + 25 watts). The clamp is strong and the flexibility is good. The only problem I’m having with it is that the light won’t turn on initially. I have to turn it on and then wiggle the bulb for it to actually light up. Which is annoying to have to do every single day. I don’t know why it’s doing this but once I do this it stays on until I turn it off. So, technically the timer doesn’t work because it won’t light up unless I wiggle the bulb.Edit: Well, after 2 months it completely fell apart. After still having the same connection issues between the bulb and the lamp this entire time (I should have just returned it!) I took the bulb out and pieces of the inside came with it. It’s officially broken. Was most likely broken all along.

Good
Works. The first bulb has already burned out and I purchased this just a couple months ago. It comes with two bulbs so I guess it’s ok. It gets hot. You will need to purchase a separate lamp for the UV needs. What I did is purchase two of these (since they’re cheap) and one I have the heat bulb and the other I purchased a separate UV bulb. One main critique is the metal neck is very short and kind of difficult to manipulate to exactly where you want it. Other than that it’s good for the price. I would buy again (I did, because I have two!)

Changing the Reptile Game
Currently I use this light has a heat source for my bioactive invertebrate display and this is doing wonders for a nice warm spot for my beetles. The light quality is great with a wonderful timer function that helps out. Easy to install and the value for the money is worth it for anyone with reptiles and other creatures.

Best reptile lamp Iâve seen
Very amazing lamp. Actually super impressed. Itâs has many different intensities and you can set timers for 2, 4, or 8 hours, and the best part? If you leave it on a time setting, the lamp will turn on for that time span at the exact same time tomorrow. Itâs super helpful for a pet with lesser care needs like beetle larvae. Even the brightest setting is safer than the 1st option on the cheap lamps my roommates have. Itâs a must have for reptile owners and it come with two replacement bulbs.
