Bought because I read somewhere it does not leave a taste. But according to pregnant wife, it tastes horrible. Size is just enough for 2-3 months. She said it is easy to swallow with water or juice.

Solid fish oil supplement
Iâm not in a faith tradition that keeps track of anything being halal/kosher/anything similar, but I know omega-3s are beneficial, so I figured why not give these a try. I donât know what halal rules are regarding shellfish but I could imagine most omega-3 supplements being a problem if you are avoiding shellfish, maybe because of an allergy.They seem to work like any other omega-3âthe capsules are on the large side but so are most omega-3 capsules. Theyâre not really any larger than usual and I could swallow them without a problem. In the bottle they do smell a bit fishy because they are fish oil.For me these are just another solid brand of fish oilâbut if your faith motivates you to seek out a halal product, or you need to avoid shellfish for another reason, this is a very important product to have available, so Iâm glad it exists.

Easy-To-Swallow and No Fishy Burps!
I have high expectations of Omega 3 supplements. I want them to be easy-to-swallow and not cause any fishy burps. I also don’t like to worry about ingesting extra mercury from fish oils. This oil has been tested and does not contain harmful levels of PCBs, dioxins, mercury or other heavy metals. The suggested use is 2 softgels a day with food. This does contain fish – anchovies and sardines. The soft gels are made with bovine gelatin. My nurse recommended I take Omega 3s and my lab results keep showing that my cholesterol is lowering. I am not a doctor, nor is this medical advice, I just know what works for me.~The Rebecca Review

Below is my original review and I left it but I felt it was important to come back and update my review. About the time I started taking this I started another new supplement. I got a rash on the apples of my cheeks and thought I was detoxing from the other supplement. I finished that supplement and continued with this fish oil taking once every few days to try to make the bottle stretch and I found that the day after i take one of these soft gels I wake up with little red bumps on the apples of my cheeks. Now that I have been done with that other supplement for so long I had been watching carefully to see when I got the rash and it was always the morning after I took one of these so now I know it is the Shifaa fish oil causing the rash. I have never had a rash from a fish oil before, I am not sure why this is happening with this supplement, but I will not re-order and am dropping my rating to 1 star.I am not new to Shifaa having used many of their products in the past. I take fish oil regularly and need a high dose to keep my chronic dry eye at bay. This fish oil by Shifaa gives me that dose at a way lower price than either of my usual brands, so I am switching for good. 5 stars.
